
Kiki Streng
Kiki Streng is a PhD student at Wageningen University & Research, Quantitative Veterinary Epidemiology. Her research is on veterinary surveillance for mosquito-borne viruses in the Netherlands and is part of a large One Health consortium (OneHealthPACT).
Previously she worked as a veterinarian at two different mixed practices in the Netherlands (2017-2020).
She obtained the title of Veterinary Medicine at the Utrecht University, the Netherlands. After this, she obtained the Master in Equine Health Care in the same University. For her master thesis she did an internship at the World Organisation for Animal Health (OiE) in Paris.
Additionally, she has been a board member (2019-2020) and president (2021) of the Young Veterinarians Board (PJD) of the Dutch Veterinary Association (KNMvD). During her studies she was a member of the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA), with functions of Secretary of Public Relations Coordinator IVSA Global (2015) and Secretary IVSA Netherlands (2014).
